Falling Leaves

When I first saw Blended Seasons bundle, (Stampin' Up's exclusive set for August) I thought that I didn't really need it as I had some version of many of the images included.  Although I loved the big flower (I call it a morning glory),  I had plenty of flowers and leaves, etc.  Then I saw the Thinlits and I really liked the unique labels that are part of the set.  So I gave into temptation and bought it.
I am so glad that I did.  I received two stamp sets and the fabulous Thinlits.  When I saw all the beautiful cards people were making with it on Pinterest, I was even happier that I bought it.  But when I started playing with these leaves, I was really happy that I bought it!

These leaves were so much fun to color.  I stamped the image twice on the card and had a blast coloring them in with my Stampin' Blends.  I stamped it a third time on a scratch piece of card stock and cut some of them out  to add to the front with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is also from the set.  I used Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the base and Peekabo Peach for the layer.
This card was so much fun to make.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

Another challenge

Another Day, Another Challenge

This card is really pretty in person.  It is hard to get the benefit of the "shine" in a photo.

This patterned paper is from the Sweet Soiree pack and the bottom layer is Berry Burst all from Stampin' Up.  The base is a shiny silver to compliment the silver in the patterned paper.  The sentiment is stamped in Berry Burst ink and is part of the Abstract Impressions stamp set also from Stampin' Up.  This is a great set with easy to stamp, artistic flowers and a few great sentiments.  The sentiment is placed on 3 layering ovals and popped over a slice of Berry Burst ribbon trimmed in silver,

I made the card for The Paper Players Sketch Challenge 407.

It was fun to play along today.  Thank you for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

Peachy Hello

Hello everyone!
I made this card for a challenge here:  Clean and Simple challenge featuring fruit.  I didn't really have any stamps with fruit but I have been hoarding this Fruit Stand DSP for quite a while.  I used Peekaboo Peach for my card base (of course).  The hello was cut from the Hello You Thinlit set in shimmery white paper that I got from Paper Trey Ink.  I used my Layering Ovals to cut the paper for the base of the sentiment.  Then to add just a touch I added some Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and a few Glitter dots. And there you have a friendly, simple card with some peachy goodness.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired,

Impressions and Expressions

These are a couple of cards that I have made recently.

The top is a really simple card with a lot of impact.  I used the Springtime Expressions Thinlit on
white glitter paper and placed it on some Petal Promenade DSP.  The "happy birthday" stamp is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set which has a lot of sentiments on top of all the pretty flowers.  The ink and base paper is Blackberry Bliss.  I used the Layering ovals to cut out the sentiment and layer it.  Then I put it on with some dimensionals.  Very simple and easy card but the beautiful paper really makes a big impact.  I made this card for my dear friend Rose for her 82nd birthday.

The second card started out to be something else and this is where I ended.  That happens to me fairly often.  Does it happen to you?
The star of this card is again the pretty paper from Stampin' Up called Painted Blooms (I believe it is retired).  The sentiment is from a new set called Abstract Impressions, which has great flowers and sentiments.  The banner it is stamped on is from the Lots To Love Box Thinlits (which originally was bundled with the Sure Do Love you stamp set).  The sentiment and glitter paper are Bermuda Bay.

Again, I apologize for my photography.  I really need to work on my lighting!!!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

Tropic Chic and a Sketch Challenge

I made this card to enter into this sketch challenge at The Paper Players.  The Paper Players Challenge #403
I used the Tropical Thinlits for the flowers and leaves.  The patterned paper is part of the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up.  The pretty Polka Dot Tulle ribbon is new this year from Stampin' Up. The card base is Shaded Spruce and the flowers are stamped with Mango Melody.
The leaves are Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.
