Geared Up Garage

I fell in love with Stampin'Up's Geared Up Garage as soon as I saw it in the Occasions catalog.

The men in my family, from the oldest to the youngest, are "gearheads."  They love cars, so I was happy to have it stamp set that celebrated them.

The first card I made was for my son's birthday.

I used the Garage Gears Thinlits to cut the gears out of the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper. The background paper is part of the same paper.  The sentiment is from the Geared Up Garage stamp set.

The second card I made is for my Grandson's 5th birthday.
I used the Bermuda Bay dark Stampin' Blend on the car.  I used Crushed Curry and Basic gray on the car and sentiment layers.  The first layer is part of the paper with tire tracks.  The card base is black.
On the inside of the card I used the oil spill stamp and the "Happy Birthday" is from Stampin' Up Southern Serenade set.

I'm sure this is one set that will get a lot of use!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

Humming Along

I just received the Stampin' Up Humming Along bundle and I can't put it down.  I just love larger images like these heat embossed.  These have the perfect amount of detail to make them gorgeous.
As soon as I received the bundle I knew they would be my cards for Stars this month.

I embossed the flower with gold right on the card base then colored with my Stampin' Blends in Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow.  I also embossed the greeting directly on the card base.
I did the hummingbird separately coloring him with Light Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Light Shaded Spruce then cut him out with the coordinating die. Then I gave him  little boost with some dimensionals.  I just love the colors and how the cards turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you were inspired to create something of your own.

Rainbow Sweet

The Challenge this week was rainbow colors.  I had just received Stampin' Up's Sweetest Thing set and the How Sweet designer paper which was perfect for this challenge!

The inside sentiment is one long stamp but I covered sections as I added ink to separate the words.

As I mentioned, this card was for The Paper Players challenge

Thanks for coming by and I hope you received some inspiration.
