Simply Thankful

The Paper Players challenge this week is a Leaves and trees challenge.  And the Global Design Project's theme is Fall.  I loved my falling leaves card Here, but thought I would pull out another set for this challenge.

I reached back and pulled my Seasoned Layers Thinlits out.  I took a white piece of paper and layered colors to get a fall color palette.  Then I took my Thinlits and cut the leaves.  I put them on a Crushed Curry background layer and put it on an Old Olive Card Base.

The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow and is from the Country Home stamp set. I love this sentiment.

The Paper Player Challenge is here http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

More of Stampin' Up's Country Home

At first glance you may think there is not a lot you can do with this stamp set, but it is actually very versatile.  I had so much fun with the different looks.

Not only are the images great, the sentiments are nice too.  I colored all of these images with Stampin' Up's Stampin' Blends.  I really enjoy using them on my stamped images.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

Country Home Card

I have been having a lot of fun with the Country Home bundle from Stampin' Up.

From the moment I saw this Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing folder, I wanted to use the copper foil sheets in it.  It is so pretty.  I stamped the images from the Country Home set in Memento Black and used the Stampin' Blends (which I Love) to color the image.  The only issue I have with this set is that I have to "fussy" cut the images out, as there are no framelits.  I used the dies from the Stitched Shapes that were a part of the Blended Seasons Bundle for the labels.  I cut one from the wood paper and one in Shaded Spruce.  I cut the Shaded Spruce in half and placed it behind with some showing on top and bottom of the top label.
I made this card for the challenge on The Paper Players:

I will share some of the other cards that I have made with the Country Home bundle in a post soon.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.
