Bunny Flourish

I made this card for a couple of challenges.  This is a 4.5 X 5.5 card.  The bunny is from Kate's ABCs on page 34 the Phrase Shift image cut at 2.5" Real Dial Size.  The ovals are from the Art Philosophy cart page 42 cut at 1.75 and 2 inches.  The squares were cut out with a Paper Studio punch and measure 1 9/16".  The flourish is from the Cindy Loo Cartridge from page 40.  I cut 2 of them at 2" and trimmed the bottom of one and put them together to make it as tall as I wanted.  (My laptop was downstairs and I was too lazy to go get it and do it on Cricut Craftroom, so I did it the old fashioned way!).  I added 3 pink flowers and 3 pink pearls to finish it.

Cindy Loo - Flourish

 I have chosen any of the flourishes from the Cindy Loo cartridge. I love flourishes they are so versatile and always give such an elegant touch to a project . Don't worry if you don't own Cindy Loo you can use a flourish from any cart and so many have the most beautiful flourishes to choose from, so join us in our challenge this week as we would love to see your fabulous creations!

 

I enjoyed combining these 3 challenges and am happy with the way this card turned out.

Baby Girl Clothes Line

A friend of mine just became a Grandmother for the first time.  She had a beautiful granddaughter. I made this card for her.

The cute clothes line is on page 62 of the Baby Steps cartridge. I cut it at 4" for a 5"X7" card.  I used a little embroidery floss for the line.  Even at 4", some of these cuts were pretty small. I cut the flower stem on the bib several times to try to get a good one. 

I felt like it needed something additional so I cut some grass from the Kate's ABC cartridge to add around the flower stems. 

For the inside I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page punch set for the doily look.  The stamp is by Hampton Arts that I picked up at Michael's and I stamped it with Stampin' Up Concord Crush Classic Stamp Pad.

Bunny Just Living...

Today's card is a 5.5 x 5.5 card, one of my favorite sizes.  The light blue layer is 5.25 x 5.25. My little "chocolate" bunny is from Kate's ABCs cartridge.  I love this cartridge, in fact, I made my little Granddaughter an ABC using this cartridge which you can see here if you want Katy's ABC Book.  Back to today's card, I used the bunny from page 34 cut at 4.25 inches along with all the coordinating layers. These layers go together very easily especially at this size.  I added some Stickles to the flower centers and the butterfly's wings. I added a black pearl for the bunny's eye.  I took some white pigment ink from Stampin' Up and blotted on very lightly to look like some wispy clouds.
The sentiment stamp is from Close to My Heart Sentiments and is stamped with PaperTrey Ink's Dark Chocolate ink.  I punched it out with Stampin' Up's Modern Label punch. (How is that for mixing brands!).

For the inside I used Kate's ABCs again to do the scalloped border.  It is the Baby Girl Font 1 shift image on page 58.  I cut it also at 4.25 inches.  The blue border is cut at 5 x 5.  I stamped the second part of the sentiment and added two more of the flowers that coordinated with the bunny.

Kitty Be Happy

I had to make a card swap for my monthly card group.  I had already decided to do this kitten from Kate's ABCs when I saw that the Die Cuttin' Divas challenge this week was to use a pet.  So it worked out well for me.

This cute kitty is on page 53 of the cartridge.  I cut her at 3.5 inches for my 4.25 X 5.5 inch card.

All the other layers were cut at the same relative size and worked perfectly.

I used some Stickles on the butterfly and the center of the flowers.

I used some gold Smooch on the kitten's bell.

The "be happy" stamp is from my new set from Cardz TV called Encouraging Thoughts. I used Night of Navy Classic stampin' pad from Stampin' Up.

I am going to also enter this in the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

I used some satin ribbon for my trim.

Katy's ABC Book

So for my BIG project -----  I made an ABC book for my Granddaughter from the Kate's ABCs cartridge.  It is an 8x8 book. It was a lot of work but I really enjoyed it tremendously!  I only changed one from the cartridge and it was the letter K.  I was going to just post a few of the pictures, but what the heck, here they all are.



Welcome Little Princess

I made this card for my granddaughter who is due to arrive very soon.  In fact, while I am posting this my daughter-in-law called and said that she is being induced this Sunday!  We will be meeting Katy Anne very soon.

The "Welcome" came from the Cindy Loo cartridge on page 74.  The "Little Princess" came from the Cricut Lite Sugar and Spice cartridge.  The little shoes and coat are from Kate's ABCs cartridge, which is an adorable cartridge for little girls.  The shoes are on page 42 and the coat on page 43.  I used little gems and stickles glitter glue for the details since the cuts were so tiny.
The background paper is from a Baby Girl kit by Me & My Big Ideas.

I reversed the papers for the inside and used a Fiskars stamp for the inside sentiment.

Well, I better go start packing!

Monagram frame

If you get the Cricut Chirp newsletter, you will recognize that I used Jackie Uhazie's monagram frame as the inspiration for mine. 

This was my first try and I like the way it turned out.  I used papers that would look good in my den, which is where I plan to put this.
The "A" and "Aslaner" are from the Kate's ABCs cartridge. The "A" was cut at 6 1/2 inches.  The "Aslaner" was cut at 1 1/4 inches.  The "Kemal & Cindy" are from the Quarter Note cartridge at 1 inch.  The "Established 1981" I printed on the printer.

This was a fun project and I like the way it turned out.
