A Few Projects Since My Last Post

This card I made with Tranquil Tulips from Stampin' Up. I used Melon Mambo for the tulips and wild wasabi for the stems.  Easy but striking card. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up.
The card  base is a DCWV pre-made card and the stripe is from the Hello card stack by Me and My Big Ideas.

This card is made with the Fabulous Flamingo set from Stampin' Up. The base is Calypso Coral as is the flamingo.  The first layer is Pool Party embossed with the Layered Leaves dynamic folder. The water is also pool party and the grass is the new Lemon Lime Twist.  The Happy Birthday wishes is from  the Avant-Garden set.  I added a few sequins and tiny pearls.  I sent this to one of my friends for her birthday.

HIgh Tide

This is my take on the Stampin' Up High Tide Stamp set.  I almost didn't get this set but I liked the lighthouse so I did.  But what I didn't realize is all of the great extras that are included with this set.  Birds, grass, water....   And they stamp so beautifully without extra effort to add texture.  I am really happy that I decided to get this set.

I used Cherry Cobbler and Basic Gray for the lighthouse.  Crumb Cake for the beach and Dapper Denim for the water.  I was pleased with the way this color combination turned out.

Quilting and Dragonflies

I fell in love with this quilting technique and it's so easy for such beautiful results.  I got it from Dawn here:  http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2017/01/faux-quilted-background-video.html

And the results are stunning.

For the red card I used the Flourshing Thinlits from Stampin' Up in the gold foil also from Stampin' Up.  The Just a Note stamp is from the coordinating stamp set Flourishing Phrases and I heat embossed in red onto the foil.

For the gold card I used the  SU Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits also in the gold foil.  The "wish" is from the SU Cupcake Cutouts Framelits.

I adore both these sets.

I also made this card with the Dragonfly Dreams and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits.

It's difficult to see but I added some Wink of Stella to the front and to the small dragonfly wings in the center.

For this Gate Fold card look at my last blog post here: http://pinkladysparadise.blogspot.com/2017/01/gate-fold-plus.html.

Gate Fold Plus

I got the directions for this card from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts here:  http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2015/03/window.html  It is quite fancy but actually quite simple to make.

For the flower on the front I used the SU May Flower framelits dies.  The inside flowers are from the coordinating SU Falling Flowers stamp set.  The sentiments came from the Avant Garden stamp set (free) in the Sale-a-bration catalog.  I added the ribbon to give a clue about how to open the card.

This is a really pretty card in person and was a lot of fun to make.

So much fun that I made another one.

The stamps used for this card were from  Friskars Precious Baby Quotes that I have had for a couple of years.

SU Lift Me Up

My first attempt with the Lift Me Up set.  I just happened to have the background paper as a scrap on my desk so went with it.  So the color scheme wasn't planned, it was just supplies I had scattered on my desk.  Although I did get the sparkly white paper out for the clouds!  But it was actually just hanging around as a scrap too.

I am sure that I will be using this stamp set many more times.

Sealed With Love and Valentine Four-Fold Card

I had a blast making this card today.  I am loving this stamp set, Stampin' Up Sealed with Love and the coordinating Love Notes Framelits.  I also used the Designer Paper that goes with the set.

I got the directions for making this card from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts here:
http://www.dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2016/12/four-fold-birthday-card-video-.html

I made a couple of cards like this at Christmas and loved the way they turned out.  So I'm still going with them!  They are pretty easy once you do one.

I also made this card with the same stamp set and framelits.
