No Lion

Fantabulous Cricut's challenge for today was to use a Lion, Tiger, or cat of some kind.  I have actually made a card using a similar sentiment a while back.  You can see it here if you would like - I'm not a lion.

For this 4.25 X 5.5 inch card, I used Paper Doll Dress Up.  The lion costume is on page 69.  I cut all the parts at 3.75 inches.  I used the Cricut markers to draw on the design and without removing the paper, I cut it out. I always use the Cricut markers with the Paper Doll cartridges to bring out all the great detail cuts. I then cut the "doll" on the blackout feature on page 29 at that same size.
The hair was cut from page 58 and I had to trim it down a bit to get it to look right.  The kitty face is on page 70 as the shift to Accesories 3.  I again used the markers first and then the blade to cut it out.
I used a little pink marker on the nose and a couple of sharpie dots for the eyes.
For the words "NO LION", I used the American Alphabet that came pre-loaded on my Cricut Expression 2.  I used the markers to write it out at .5 inches and then just trimmed the paper around it.  The lion and the phrase are both pot dotted.

I did not complete the inside.  I will wait to see what sentiment I want to put inside, but the possibilities are endless - Wishing you a happy birthday, I miss you, I love you, etc.

Thanks for coming by and y'all come back soon,

Cindy :)
