Flowered Cupcake

Problem:  I love glitter and bling on my projects and yet I am not a good enough photographer to get it to turn out well in the picture.  This is one of those cards that just looks better in person.

For the 4.25 X 5.5 inch card, I chose this cupcake from The Sweet Treats cartridge page 26 cut at 3.5 inches.  There are 6 different cupcakes to choose from on this cartridge.  Not to mention several design options of ice cream, cake, presents, and flowers just to mention a few.

Instead of cutting out the dots for the sprinkles, I used a polka dot paper, Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds glitter and Stickles.  I used a couple of Doodlebug Design flowers instead of the cut on the cartridge. and a clear gem for the center.    The cupcake on the cartridge doesn't have a cherry on top, but it just seemed to need something, so I used the cherry for the cupcake on the next page and added some Dazzling Diamonds on it also.

The stamp is one I have used quite a few times from Close To My Heart.  And some purple satin ribbon for the finishing touch.

I made this card for two challenges...
Cardz TV Challenge 103 -  “You Take the Cake!” Make a birthday card with a cake or cupcake
Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge 54 -Recipe Challenge: Fabric, Feathers, and/or Flowers

Thanks for coming by and y'all come back again soon,

Cindy :)
