Butterfly Wishes

I made this card with Stampin'  Up's Springtime Impressions Thinlits with the new Mango Melody cardstock.  I cut the butterfly out of the cardstock leaving just the outline and then cut the butterfly out of Melon Mambo and inlaid it into the Mango cardstock.

I backed it with paper from the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper.  The Sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage Stamp set. (I really like the sentiments in this set.)  It is stamped in Melon Mambo and triple layered.  Then since I am addicted to bling, I took the Stickles to the butterfly and second layer of sentiment badge.  Then I put it all on a card made from the Melon Mambo cardstock. The bling made it a little harder to get a good picture, especially without good lighting, but you get the idea.

I am entering the card in the Paper Players Challenge 402.

Tropical Chic and a Color Challenge

I made this card with Stampin' Up's Tropical Chic set for the challenge below.

I have to admit that I liked this bundle when I first saw it, but thought to myself "Do I really need more leaves?" Well the answer is a definite YES!
I absolutely love this set.  It makes such beautiful cards so effortlessly.

I was pretty happy with the way this card turned out.  The fern leaf was done in Shaded Spruce  and the other colors were Granny Apple green, Lovely Lipstick and Highland Heather as stipulated in the challenge.
This was a fun challenge to do.

Thanks for coming by and I hope you were inspired.

A Cute Little Elephant

This cute little elephant is from Stampin' Up's  A Little Wild and cut with framelits called A Little Love.  It stamps and cuts out the front and back of an elephant, lion and bear.

The card base is Pool Party and the cute paper on the front is from Animal Expedition DSP.  The stars paper is from Twinkle, Twinkle DSP.  Both of these paper are so much cuter in person.  The subtle color combinations just can't come through as well in photos.
The sentiment is also from A Little Wild and says "a great big welcome for a sweet little someone."

My daughter loved this card which I made for her friend's baby shower.  She then tells me she needs another one for a girl baby shower and the mother loves elephants.

I wish my photography was a little better so you could see the true colors of the pretty paper.  The front is also Twinkle, Twinkle DSP and the inside is Petal Pink.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you were inspired.

A Froggy Birthday

As soon as I saw this paper I knew I would make a card for my friend Kay who loves and collects frogs.  The Paper is from Stampin' Up and is a Designer Series paper called Animal Expedition.  To be honest when I saw it in the catalog I wasn't all that thrilled, but after seeing it in person, I am crazy about it!
I cut the sentiment out with Call Me Clover and Granny Apple Green and stacked it for dimension and stuck on a couple jewels.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you were inspired.
