Damask Decor

I had no intention of buying any more Cricut Cartridges as I don't have enough room for the ones I have!
But I went to Michael's yesterday and they had some of the newer ones on sale and they had one that I wanted for a gift for someone --- so if I am going to buy one, I may as well buy three and get the one free from Provo Craft (http://www.cricut.com/michaelsbuy3/).  I picked up Damask Decor and Quarter Note for myself.  Below is a card that I came home and made from the Damask Decor cartridge.

This cut is from page 33 of the cartridge. I cut it at 3 3/4" and it fit a 5" x 7" card nicely.  As usual I like bling and shimmer but do not photograph it well. For the cut I used papers from DCWV Shimmer Stack, so it has a shine to it.  The patterned papers are from K&Co.  The stamp I used for the inside sentiment is from  a Stampin' Up set called Well Scripted.
As I was making this card I didn't think I was going to like it, but I really like the way it came out with the colors and papers.

Thanks for coming by,

Cindy :)

  1. That turned out really pretty, Cindy. Yes out of the new cartridges that just came out, I think I would like that one, and the one called Elegant Edges. But like you, I really don't need any more at this time. I haven't used all the ones I have yet! Very nice job.--Pat

  2. Just curious, does Damask Decore have a bit of a middle eastern flare?

  3. Billy, I think the colors that I used on this card probably contributed to the Middle Eastern look of the card.

    Thanks for commenting.
