This is quite a unique card. Shelby liked the rainbow page that I had made in Julianne's book and wanted me to use it again for Meagan's card. Then she wanted me to incorporate a dashund dog. So here is what came of it. It is a large card. I took a light blue 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper and folded it at 5 1/2".
The rainbow, flowers and butterfly on the front are all from Create A Critter. The rainbow was cut at 5". The flowers at 2" and the butterfly at 1 1/2". The "18" I put on the heart is from the Quarter Note cartridge cut at 1 1/4". I ran the rainbow through the Xyron and sprinkled it with Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds. The grass was made with my Martha Stewart scissors. I put some Glossy Accents on the butterfly's body to give it some strength and put it on a Action Wobble.
The "celebrate" on the inside is from the Birthday Bash cartridge as well as the gift box with "its your birthday" and the handstand dog. The hula hoop dog is from the Paisley cartridge.
And all that added up to a unique card and Shelby really liked it.

Damask Decor III
Are you tired of this cartridge yet? Not me. It is so easy to make great cards quickly with this cartridge.
This cut is from page 55. Cut at 3 1/2 on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card. The image was cut from DCWV paper from the Mariposa and Summer Dreams stacks. The card base is from the Summer Dreams Stack. The patterned paper is from a Me & My Big Ideas paper pad. The ribbon is Paper Trey Ink.
The inside is blank for future use.

Back to Damask Decor
I finished Julianne's book and now I am back to Damask Decor.
This is the very first cut in the book and I liked it right away. I used DCWV's Glimmer Stack. Added a ribbon and a couple of pearls and ........Voila' beautiful card.

Julianne Booklet
I made this for my soon to be 7 year old niece. It's a little more than a card and a little less than a book. The pictures I used were taken at Thanksgiving.
This is the cover. Lots of bling and glitter here! The crown was cut from page 56 of the Birthday Bash cartridge. The letter J is also from Birthday Bash on page 47. I used a variety of papers. The striped base is from a DCWV stack that I got a long time ago. I believe it was called The Glitter Stack. The light pink layer is Core'dination and the dark pink layer is from DCWV Black Currant Stack. Instead of adding all of the layers to the crown cut, I added jewels to the top and a strip of jewels along the bottom.
I used papers from the DCWV Sweet Stack for most of the inside pages. The cutie patootie turtle is from page 47 of the Birthday Bash cartridge. "It's your birthday" is from the card feature on page 22.
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the lattice on the next page. I cut the little cupcakes from the paper and stuck them on with Stampin' Up dimensionals.
The cute little bird is from the Birthday Bash cartridge on page 23. Popped up and then added some stickle initials on the balloon. For the next page I just used the pretty cake design embossed on the paper.
The adorable rainbow was cut from the Create A Critter cartridge on page 52. Then I ran it through my Xyron and sprinkled it with Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The little flowers are from the same cartridge on page 44. It turned out really nice. Wish you could see it in person. Added a little jeweled butterfly from Michael's dollar bin. The next page I cut the "sweet" from the Quarter Note cartridge and added a jeweled ice cream cone also from the dollar bin.
For the back cover, I used the same papers as the front cover. The "happy Birthday" is from page 27 of the Create A Critter cartridge. The "Julianne" and "2011" are cut from the alphabet on the Baby Steps cartridge.
Added another jeweled butterfly to finish.
I punched two holes through the pages with my Crop A Dile and tied everything together with a ribbon.
This little booklet was really fun to make. I hope Julianne enjoys it.

Damask Decor Again.
I sure am loving this cartridge. I can't put it down! So here is another card. I left room at the bottom for a sentiment and the inside is blank. I very rarely make cards for no specific purpose, but did I mention how much I want to make everything on this cartridge?
The patterned paper and the card base is from a stack from the Paper Studio called Oops-A-Daisy. The others are just scraps. The design is on page 55 of the cartridge.
Guess I'm off to make something else from Damask Decor!!!

Easter Cards
I have spent all morning making Easter cards. But really they were very quick and easy. When I was looking through my Damask Decor cartridge, it has a card feature with some really great cards. A couple were oval and I thought they would make great Easter cards because they reminded me of stained glass easter eggs. So .....
These were from page 29 of Damask Decor. I used contrasting color with glitter paper on front and solid as the card base. The stamp which I used on all of the cards is from the Stampin' Up set Easter Blossoms.
I put the paper clip so that you could see the card closed.
This card is from page 59. I didn't have glitter paper to match so I used Stickles to give it some sparkle.
I know I always say this, but they are prettier in person, especially the turquoise one. It is just hard for me to get a picture really shows the subtleties.

Damask Decor
I had no intention of buying any more Cricut Cartridges as I don't have enough room for the ones I have!
But I went to Michael's yesterday and they had some of the newer ones on sale and they had one that I wanted for a gift for someone --- so if I am going to buy one, I may as well buy three and get the one free from Provo Craft (http://www.cricut.com/michaelsbuy3/). I picked up Damask Decor and Quarter Note for myself. Below is a card that I came home and made from the Damask Decor cartridge.
This cut is from page 33 of the cartridge. I cut it at 3 3/4" and it fit a 5" x 7" card nicely. As usual I like bling and shimmer but do not photograph it well. For the cut I used papers from DCWV Shimmer Stack, so it has a shine to it. The patterned papers are from K&Co. The stamp I used for the inside sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set called Well Scripted.
As I was making this card I didn't think I was going to like it, but I really like the way it came out with the colors and papers.

Girlfriend
I went to Joanns yesterday for the first time since Clare and I went at Christmas. I have been trying to curb my appetitie for paper! BUT yesterday I bought the Black Currant paper stack by DCWV. I have been looking at it since the fall, but always needed papers for other projects. I also got some cute Friskars clear stamps for 40% off. One of the ones I bought is called Girls Night Out and it and the paper inspired this card.
The card base is Paper Trey Ink silver cardstock. The pink layer and the shoe are both from the Black Currant stack. The shoe is cut from the Happily Ever After cartridge on page 41, Cinderella's slipper. I used the Icon for both cuts, one in silver and one in the black patterned paper. I filled the heart on the shoe with Stickles called Tiara. I popped the shoe up on the card. (Can you believe I didn't put it on an Action Wobble! Hee Hee). The punch used for the border is from Stampin' Up. And some black ribbon in my stash.
The inside of the card was of course one of the stamps from the set I purchased. It was stamped with Stampin' Up Rich Razzleberry.
I like the way it turned out. Simple but glitzy!
I also picked up the last Baby Steps cartridge that they had. I wanted to get one for Clare too. I am sure that I can get it at a good price on-line for her.
