I made this card for my daughter-in-law Clare's baby shower. The little onesie is from Life's A Party page 29. It originally had a duck on the front but I just cut the shadow so that I could add the Ladybug from Create A Critter. It is on page 62 and is the shift option as are all the layers for it. I wanted the ladybug to make the card personal because it is the theme of the baby's bedroom.
It is a 5 x 5 square card. I started with plum pudding paper from Paper Trey Ink. I ran it through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. The folder was not large enough to cover the whole card, but that was okay because I addded the lace and a thin pink ribbon to the side. I gathered the same lace and added it with red tacky tape to hold in place at the neck of the onesie. I added some fruit punch stickles to the ladybug's spots and then added Glossy Accents to the whole ladybug. I added 2 pink brads for the snaps and did a little white gel pen for the seam stitches.
The stamp is from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Occasions stamp set, then punched out with Stampin' Up's modern label punch.
I thought it turned out pretty cute. I hope the lace collar held up in the mail!
Thanks for coming by,
Cindy :)
So cute...I love the lace. :)
