Thank You -brown and pink

This a quick Thank You card I made last week.  The Thank You is from the MS Elegant Cake cartridge.  The patterned paper is from the Paper Studio Oops-A-Daisy stack.  The solid paper and ribbon is from Paper Trey Ink.  The border is a MS Deep Edge Punch.  Added a couple of gems for bling.

I haven't been posting since I have been back because I am working on a large project.  I am close to finishing and should have a post about it early next week.

Thanks for coming by. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Fall Birthday Card

I am not really sure if I am thrilled with this card, or not.  I wanted to do a fall themed birthday card with the oranges and fall colors..  The background paper I picked was really pretty, but so much of it is covered, I don't know that it makes a good connection.  It is one of those cards that is better in person than the photo.

I started again with the flower from page of the Sophie cartridge because I liked the previous card so much (http://pinkladysparadise.blogspot.com/2011/09/sophie-pink-flower-card.html).  I added some really pretty glitter to the flower.  The photo doesn't show how pretty the glitter is.  And the background paper has some shiny copper accents that do not all show in the photo.

Then I picked the Happy Birthday from page 37 of the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge.  There are several styles of phrasing on this cart, so it's a good one to have.  There are 4 different styles of Happy Birthday on this one cartridge. And they all have shadowing, which I like.

For the inside, I added some green and a strip of the background paper to tie it together.

I think this one is growing on me and I am liking it more and more!

Blue and Gold Birthday

This is the blue and gold version similar to the the red and gold birthday card.  More of the pretty paper from the Tradewinds stack by DCWV. This is a 5x5 square card using PaperTrey Ink Shimmer navy as the card base.  The "Happy Birthday" is from Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art page 47.  Some gems and ribbon and the front is done.

For the inside, I again used My Pink Stamper Stamps.  "Best Wishes" is from Everyday Life and "On your special day" is from Family and Friends.

Red and Gold Happy Birthday

This paper is from DCWV the Tradewinds Stack.  I bought this stack with the thought that it would be great to scrap my pictures from the trip to Turkey, but the paper is so pretty I keep wanting to use it for cards.  I guess I'll just have to buy another one!
The polka dot paper is from another DCWV stack.  I don't remember which one.

The "Happy Birthday" is from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge (page 47) as is the label behind it (page 65).  Both are using the base and the shadow features. I ended up using a gold marker on the Happy Birthday to get the look that I wanted.

The "make a wish" stamp on the inside is from Paper Trey Ink's Mega Mixed Messages stamp set that I have had for a couple of years now.

The edge is punched with a Stampin' Up punch.  A little gold ribbon and a pearl and I think it is an elegant card.  I struggled with it but was happy with the way it eventually turned out.

Happy Birthday Polka dots

This is a card that I made for Alex (Ken's girlfriend) for her birthday.  The card base is from The Birthday Bash cartridge Card option on page 31.  I cut it at 5 inches.  The Happy Birthday is from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge, the Phrase and shadow from page 37.  Polka Dot paper is from DCWV Latte Stack.  The green and purple papers are Paper Trey Ink.  The ribbon is Stampin' Up.  The little gem of a butterfly is from the dollar bin at Michaels.

Pink & Black Birthday

I couldn't put down the Black Currant Stack from DCWV, so I used it again to make a friend's birthday card.

The elegant "Happy Birthday" on the front is from Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Cartridge.  Just can't beat the word art on the cake cartridges!  The border punch is from Stampin' Up as is the inside sentiment.  Some paper layering and a black ribbon and I'm done!  Oh and I added a little black pearl for the dot on the "i"!
